A
- Haemarthrosis
- Haematosis (in muscles causes nerve palsies and compartment syndrome)

A
Prolonged APTT
Reduced factor VIII assay
Normal bleeding time, thrombin time, PT

What should you avoid if a patient has haemophilia?
A
- IM injections
- NSAIDS

How do you manage a minor bleed with haemophilia a?
A
- Pressure and elevation of bleeding part
- Desmopressin to raise factor VIII levels

How do you manage a major bleed with haemophilia a?
A
Give recombinant factor VIII
