What was the isra mi’raj

A

The night journey. Its written in the Quran and explained further in the Hadith that Muhammed travelled one night in 621 to Jerusalem, prayed and ascended to Heaven, met each prophet and spoke with Allah who sent him back down to earth.

Qualities of Isnad

A

The reliability and authenticity of a source. from Sahih (very trustworthy), to Hasan (good), to Da’if (weak), to (Mawdu) made up. Based on reliability of the chain of transmission (was this person alive and able to talk to that person? Were they even in the same country at the time? Did they speak the same language?)
