H_Waveform Flashcards
In the VOLUME CONTROL mode it is important to watch witch curve ?
pressure waveform
is important to monitor the occlusion pressure, or p0.1, to ensure it is not too high
p0.1 = occlusion pressure
-
In pressure assist control , patient effort should change the flow waveform

Reverse triggering . Qual é a definição ?
paciente só trigger depois do trigger do ventilador
Reverse triggering is another form of asynchrony where the ventilator triggers a breath
that then triggers an effort from the patient.
Foi detectado reverse triggering . O que fazer ?
primeiro : avaliar sé por conta de BAD TIMING ou REFLEX
1) DIMINUIR RESP RATE -> se melhorou = bad timing
2) However, if the reverse triggering still continues, a few steps should be taken:
● Turn off sedation if possible
● Increase TIDAL VOLUME to a maximum of 8 mL/kg
● Keep plateau pressure less than = to 27 cm H 2 O, and less than 30 cm H 2 O for COVID-19 patients (typical ARDS guidelines)
● If there is a known injurious pattern (breath stacking) and sedation cannot be stopped, consider NMB agents to protect the lung and minimize the possibility of barotrauma
Em paciente com ARDS com Pplateau de 35 e PIPplateau de 32.
