What are the options for any station visitor or vendor in the station when a call comes in?
any station visitor get assigned an escort, if a call is received the officer has four options.
- Have visitor/vendor leave station until unit returns from call. If vendor is doing station/equipment repairs return to station as soon as call is done.
- Assign a firefighter to stay with vendor at station on non-box alarms
- arrange for alt duty FFer to provide escort when available
- confer with BC and take unit OOS

How should visitors be handled that hang around station in or out?
Officer should explain our no loitering policy and ask them to leave. If help is needed call for APD and on duty investigator.

Where will citizens who want a ride out be directed?
To Recruiting, who will provide them with a copy of the AFD Ride Out/Visitor Release Form
Which is signed and sent to PSO, for background checks and then returned to recruiting, who will coordinate with BC/SC to find a location.

What is the minimum age to ride out at a station? When will this come into play?
18yo
When a ride out comes to the station their ID should be checked.

What are rules for the ride out? (9)
- Officer verify identify and note emergency contact info
- visitors may ride out from 0800-2200
- Can only ride out once per month/ and 4 times a year
- exceptions made on case by case
- visitors expected to maintain professional manner of dress, prohibited from wearing anything that IDs them as a FFer., except a traffic vest
- Officer should consider safety of visitors prior to permitting them on any scene
- visitors not allowed on scenes that require protective clothing.
- Officer should consider PTs privacy prior to allowing visitors to enter medical scenes.
- Officer may revoke privileges of ride out, at any time if visitors presence would be unsafe or dangerous to the visitor or ffer
