Perimetrium, Myometrium( all smooth muscle), Endometrium (proliferates and sloffs off during menstration).
What is a partial and total hysterectomy?
Partial-> Cervix and ovaries are left intact.
Total-> entire uterus.
Radical-> everything.
Name the three portions of the broad ligament of the uterus.
mesosalpinx, mesometrium, mesovarium.
What surrounds the suspensory ligament of the ovaries and what is contained within it?
Peritoneum. Ovarian blood vessels.
What are the remnants of the gubernaculum in the female?
Round ligament of the uterus.-> lower half.
Ligament of the Ovary.-> upper half.
Where does the round ligament of the uterus end?
Labia majora.
What is another name for the transverse cervical ligament?
Cardinal ligament
What is the uterosacral ligament made of?
Visceral membranous pelvic fascia
What is the transverse cervical ligament made of?
Condensed enopelvic fascia.
