Discuss the retirement process.
A
-Collect GD harness, ID and card so they can no longer be used after official retirement.
-Retired dog no longer has access rights.
-Retired dog can reside with client/family.
-Retired dog can be adopted out by GDT; all costs met by new owner.
-Client decides about new dog, factors to consider are;
Workload, Clients age/health, Retirement too traumatic.
-Where possible client will be assessed prior to dog retirement and put on waiting list.
