Call priorities?
Priority 1 - emergency call - red button - everyone in that cell will hear conversation
Priority 2 - urgent call - yellow button - direct to the signaller.
Priority 3 - normal call - signaller (bottom rhs)
Priority 4 - low priority call

Outgoing Urgent call (yellow button) is used for Point to point call to signaller in the following instances?

What is the railway emergency group call?
Highest priority
A group call between the initiator and all drivers in a specific area
Will send a stop message to all trains in given area
Incoming railway emergency group call. What would you do?
As soon as you receive an emergency call u must bring your train to an immediate stand. When at stand press the ST button.
Listen to information given.
Visual display on GSMR will state “ STOP EMERGENCY”.
audible tone and voice STOP EMERGENCY.

Call signaller button (bottom rhs)

Enter full number (provided in WON)
General broadcasts will be used by signaller for the following instances?
Blanket speed restriction Exceptional low adhesion Infrastructure failures and incidents Poor railhead conditions Defective emergency indicators Animals on or near the line. Acknowledge at the end of the message by pressing ST acknowledge button.
