Q

Hand stripping

A

Natural method of coat removal used on WIRE COATS or SILKY SPANIEL/SETTER COATS.
This method maintains good coat colour & texture & is desirable on many breeds but can be a time consuming & exspensive method on dogs which are not well maintained & make sufficient number of visits to the grooming salon.
Ideal for easy handstrip coats such as border terrier & parson Russell’s .Also preferred method for natural gundog which have not been ruined by neutering.(NEUTERING CHANGES THE GROWTH OF THE UNDERCOAT CREATING WHAT IS KNOWN AS ‘CARPET COAT’ & IN THIS SITUATION CLIPPING OR THE USE OF THINNING SCISSORS IS THE ONLY OPTION
