What does the force of gravity change?
The Force of gravity can change the motion of an object by changing it’s speed, direction, or both.
What is Gravity?
a force of attraction between objects that is due to their masses
What does the law of universal gravitation say?
All objects in the universe attract each other through gravitational force. The size of the force depends on the masses of the objects and the distance between the objects.
All objects experience……
All objects experience an attraction toward all other objects. The Gravitational force pulls objects toward each other.
Why don’t you feel an object being pulled toward you?
The mass of most objects is too small to cause a force large enough to cause movement.
Why is earths gravitational force large?
Because earths mass is large
What does earths gravitational for do?
It pulls everything to the center of the earth. This causes things to stay I place…books, tables, chairs, etc.
What did Newton discover?
there has to be an unbalanced force to cause an object to move. He also said that an unbalanced force on the moon kept it moving around earth in a circular motion.
What is weight?
the measure of the gravitational force on an object
What is mass?
Mass is the amount of matter in an object. An objects mass does not change.

How big is one newton?
The size of a small apple
What is an astronauts weight on the moon?
The astronauts weight on the moon is about one sixth of his weight on earth, but his mass remains constant.
