object layering
layering is the separation of elements into different layers, thereby allowing them to be arranged and edited in isolation to other parts of the image.
o Object layering is an integral part of Graphics programs can be used to separate both text and images.
image enhancements Filters:
overlays designed to change the tint and therefore the mood, tone and texture of a image. Examples of filters include retro, black and white and grayscale.
image enhancements Special Effects:
Image effects used to enhance the image. Examples include Outer/Inner glows, Bevel/Emboss and drop shadows.
image enhancements AntiAliasing:
The smoothing of the edges of Bitmap images in order to increase image quality as jaggedness is reduced. Antialiasing works by surrounding the jagged edges of an image with shades of grey or colour depending on the image.
image manipulations Stretching:
the enlargement of the image by extending its height and or width.
image manipulations Skewing:
The distortion of the image in a way that its sides are no longer parallel and instead oblique.
image manipulations Rotating:
The movement of an image along a particular axis through a circular motion.
image manipulations Colour adjustment:
change of RGB channels
