A

-focuses on improving personal performance, so the overall standard of performance will increase
-they are more motivating than outcome goals as they do not rely on others

such as: to improve the percentage of successful passes in football

-for it to be successful as otherwise won’t know if you succeeded or not
-time, distance or numbers
such as: i want to get an average of 90% success pass rate in football

A

as otherwise may be demotivating if it isn’t
achieved
such as: wanting to improve your pass success rate from 85% to 90%- only a 5% increase so is achievable

A

-so that it is possible to be achieved, so should factor in your fitness level, time, facilities etc..
such as: an extra 5% success rate is realistic as i am practising extra passing drills
