glucogenolysis Flashcards

1
Q

Breakdown of dietary starch process

Q

what is the first step to glycogen breakdown?

A

Q

what is the second step to glycogen breakdown?

A

Branching enzyme(transferase) bits off remaining branched glycogen and adds to nonreducing end, leaving one glycogen. Glucosidase bites off last branched glycogen and releases it as glucose
