Act
Subdivision between sections of a play
Anatagonist
The opposite of the protagonist in a drama
Anti-climax
Incomplete so can be disappointing or unsatisfying
Character
A named individual in the play
Chorus
In greek theatre, a character representing an element in the drama that comments on the action
Climax
The significant moment in the plot of a play when things change, or reach a crisis point
Comic relief
A comic scene included in an otherwise straight-faced play
Dialouge
The spoken text of a play is dialogue
Dramatic irony
When the audience knows more about a situation than one of the characters
Dramatic tension
Moments in a drama when the audience feels a heightened sense of anticipation
Duologue
Part of a scene which is a scripted conversation between only two characters
