Q

totnes costa coffee

A

2012
costa wanted to open can outlet in south Devon town of totnes
3/4 of the town population singed a petition to support the independent high street coffee shops and reject the implantation of costa coffee.
eight months after this petition was created cost dropped their plans and ‘recognised the strength in feeling of community in totnes’
this decision says something about big chain companies coming to visit the area and understanding a place and strength of community. rather than referring it as simple a space on a map.
