Explain why using only one development indicator, such as Gross National Income (GNI) per capita, may fail to reflect accurately the true quality of life within a country. (8 marks)
For developing countries how can a country improve their development
Healthcare - fund hospitals and health care workers - increase life expectancy and stop country from having a youthful population - allows a balance of young and old people
Education - put money into education system so teachers can educate people and increase literacy rate - will allow more people to get jobs and increase the employment rate
Political instability - try to vote in a leader who is not corrupt - country will be led better and funding will be used for things other than personal gain of leader
Housing - give materials and care packages to people in shanty towns/slums in countries such as Mali
Account for the differences in levels of development between developing countries. You should refer to named examples in your answer.(12)
