Symptoms
A
Severe burning pain in affected vessel - temporal, tongue or masticatory muscle region
Headache - intense, throbbing, aching, persistent
Worse when lying flat
Claudication pain
If retinal artery affected risk of blindness

Systemic corticosteroids - Prednisolone 60mg daily
