Arteries that are apart of celiac trunk
First branch off of aorta just below inferior diaphragm.Left gastric artery, splenic artery, hepatic artery
Retro peritoneal
IVC portions ,kidneys,aorta
Arterial supply of abdomen
Celiac trunk, superior mesenteric artery, inferior mesenteric artery, right and left renal artery
Left gastric artery
Smallest of 3 celiac branches. Supplies stomach and esophagus
Splenic artery
Medial. supplies spleen stomach pancreas. Largest branch divides into pancreatic artery, left gastroepiploic artery, and short gastric arteries
Common hepatic artery
Intermediate in size and branches off from right side of celiac trunk. Branches into right gastric artery, proper hepatic artery, gastroduodenal artery. Supplies liver, gallbladder, stomach duodenum of SI, pancreas
Superior mesenteric artery
Arises below abdominal aorta below celiac trunk. Has 5 branches. Supplies pancreas, jejenum, ileum of small intestine, ileum and ascending colon of large intestine, transverse colon
Renal arteries
Paired. off lateral aspect of aorta. Supplies kidney, adrenal glands,and ureters
Inferior mesenteric arteries
Below superior mesenteric and renal arteries. Has 3 branches. Supplies large intestine.
Splenic artery branches into
Left gastroepiploic,short gastric, and pancreatic artery
Superior mesenteric branches into
Inferior pancreaticoduodenal, jejunal and ileal, ileocolic,right colic, and middle colic.
Inferior mesenteric branches into
Left colic , sigmoid, superior rectal
