Coastal erosion and sea level rise has lead to a big loss of farmland. The farmland is not often protected from coastal processes. The coastline can develop naturally.

A

Farmland is not often protected because farmers do not have the money to put groynes in place or sea walls in place. There also need money to maintain and replace there over time.
