Describe a situation where you had to use your initiative
In class one day, the teacher had to go because of a safeguarding concern and I had no idea what the lesson plan was. So I came up with my own lesson plan based on what we had been doing that day - did some drama and then some creative writing

Through university - bad result but continued

How do you handle pressure and how will you handle the stress of this profession?
I cope quite well under pressure because I use the pressure to help me work more efficiently and effectively - sometimes stress is a motivator because you have to get things done - talk about university being deadlines all the time but this was good at it helps you to achieve your potential
Set time aside for hobbies and exercise

If struggling, talk to colleagues or take some time out - if I need to go home and relax one day rather than staying late and marking, I will
What are your weaknesses?
Very self-critical - think I am never good enough - but this is sometimes good because it means I am always trying to improve
What difficulties are you likely to encounter as a teacher and how would you deal with them?
Balancing lots of needs - deal with them by giving extra support to the people who need it
Lots of paperwork, marking, lots to do - have a to do list, realistic of when you can get things done
Lack of time - not enough time in the school day. to fit everything in. Make sure stick to a strict timetable
Do you have any hobbies or interests that could be useful for extracurricular activities?
Baking
Zumba - sport

Flexible - all sessions are online so get to choose when to study
Flexible - if you are struggling with something, they are very supportive
What sorts of schools would you like to work in, and why?
Schools that do a lot of learning through interaction and play
going out and about to learn about science etc
Warm and welcoming environment in a school - so when you walk in, you see happy children and all the staff are caring and kind and supportive
Schools that focussed on aspiring children to push themselves to the best level of teaching

Lots of focus on positive well being
