d) the reality of women’s problems changes accordingly to their realities (rural or urban scenarios, religious vs, less religious scenarios, education opportunities, etc. )
what is the role of women?
socialization (role of women in society) , marianismo (the idea of centering the family or the heaviest role in the family would be the women), stereotypes, colonialism influence , religious beliefs
what are some of the most apprehensive issues
- sale of women, bridal prices, and dowries
- female mutilation
- honor killings
- rapes as a weapon of war
- education (low or even an outlaw)
what are women in development?
- many households depend on women’s income
- after the lost decade in Lat America came the feminization of employment
- still, find inequalities in the labour market
- women are left in rural areas in subsistence agriculture
- in entrepreneurial life, women’s barrier is often one of internal self-selection
