Firing the First Round
A
- must be loaded and manually cocked by the charging the bolt to the rear.

Recoil
A
- bolt is locked to the barrel extension by the breech lock moving 3/4 inch as one unit
- The Barrel Extension recoils 1 1/8 inches
- The Bolt Recoils 7 1/8 inches

Extracting the Round
A
- as the bolt moves rear ward the extractor pulls a new round out of the belt link moving the round into the T-Slot

Cocking
A
- happens immediately after firing
- when the recoiling parts are 1/16 inch from the full battery position the gun is ready to fire

Counter- recoil
A
- after recoil the bolt is forced forward by the energy stored in the drive spring, buffer tube discs, and recoil buffer assembly
- forcing the Bolt, Barrel, and Barrel extension back into battery.

Feeding
A
- process of Extracting a live round, positioning, and chambering the live round

Ejecting
A
- process of ejecting the spent round out of the T-Slot by the Ejector

Chambering the round
A
- chambering the round by the extractor placing the round in the T-Slot and the bolt moving forward placing the round in the Chamber

Automatic Firing Subsequence Rounds
A
- as long as the trigger is depressed.
- the trigger holds the Trigger Cam up in the rear and the front down depressing the SEAR releasing the fire pin extension when in battery
