Hazards
A
Hazards that cause munitions to ignite or explode
- Heat - fire or excessive heat during use or storage
- Friction - static electricity when the static charges are allowed to accumulate to the point of uncontrolled discharge.
- Percussion - dropping or striking munitions or explosives

Fire extinguishers
A
AFOSH standard 91-56 Fire Protection and Prevention and T.O. 00-25-172, ground servicing of A/C and Static Grounding/Bonding
- states a minimum of 2 extinguishers will be provided unless other wise stated by the Fire Chief

Ammunition Emergency Procedures
A
- Notify the Air crew Commander and crew
- notify fire department
- fight fire and remove munitions if possible
- all nonessential personnel will withdraw 2500 ft.
- crew members fight the fire will with draw 2500 ft when the fire envelops munitions or after arrival of fire fighters
NOTE: when net explosive weight exceeds 500 lbs with 105HE on board with draw to 4000 ft.
