Spanish Future Tense is conjugated in a single verb so…
there is no auxiliary verb like in English with “will/shall”.
Future Tense Conjugation
Attatch Conjugation to ENTIRE infinitive of the verb - you don’t drop the -ar, -er or -ir ending!
(for -ar, -er and -ir its EXACTLY the same)
yo -é
tú -ás
él, ella, usted -á
nosotros -emos
ellos, ellas, ustedes -án
Future Tense irregulars
There are very few irregulars in future tense and they all follow one of three patterns: poner, poder and decir.
Poner Pattern Irregulars
Verbs like PONER, drop the “e” or “i” of the infinitive and add the consonant “d” before the “r”
yo -dré
tú -drás
él, ella, usted -drá
nosotros -dremos
ustedes, ellos, ellas -drán
Poder Pattern Irregulars
Verbs like PODER, drop the vowel of the infinitive entirely before the “r”
yo -ré
tú -rás
él, ella, usted -rá
nosotros -remos
ustedes, ellos, ellas -rán
Decir Pattern Irregulars
There are only two verbs in this type: decir and hare
DECIR
yo -diré
tú -dirás
él, ella, usted -dirá
nosotros -diremos
ustedes, ellos, ellas -dirán
HACER
yo -haré
tú -harás
él, ella, usted -hará
nosotros -haremos
ustedes, ellos, ellas -harán
Haber when not used as an auxiliary verb in any perfect tense…
translates to “there will be” and is used in the third-person singular only.
