Conditional Mood Conjugation “Would…”
It also uses the entire infinitive, and the irregular verbs are the same verbs as future tense. It’s also the same for all three endings (-ar, -er and -ir). It also only expressed in one word, so “would” is not needed as in English.

Poner type verbs drop the “e” or “i” of the infinitive and add the consonant “d” before the “r”.

Poder type verbs drop the vowel of the infinitve entirely before the “r”.

Conditional Mood is used to…
- indicate the probability of a future action from the perspective of a previous action the past (like “would + present tense verb” in English)
- indicate hypothetical actions or events that may or may not happen in the future
- express hypothetical action or events that may or may not happen in the present (like willingness)
- communicate probability, wonder or conjecture referring to a past time or activity with verbs such as decir, estar, haber, ser and tener. The English equivalents “approximately, probably, must have, could, I wonder…” are used to express this sense.
