Emile Durkheim argues a successful economy requires specialists with skills and knowledge taught to them from education. This is called Human capital where we invest in the education for a workforce so the economy doesn’t fail

What are Davis & Moore’s views on education?
Davis & Moore argue education is a system of Sorting and sifting workers into the right jobs based on skill. Financial inequality is justified as the harder jobs should give more money, this is part of a meritocracy however everyone still has equality of opportunity.
