Discharge nozzle to discharge fuel clear of the a/c
Allow no fumes into the a/c
Create no controllability problems - have to be able to jettison fuel equally without disturbing CG

Flaps/slats - cause turbulent flow in the airflow - will dispense the fuel in a bad manner
