16
Q

During crossed feed operations how does the low fuel tank get fuel from the hight side?

A

When the crossfeed knob is selected to LOW 1 or LOW 2, the amount of fuel supplied to the lower level side is higher than the actual fuel burn of the engine on that side. This characteristic causes fuel to be transferred from one tank to the other.

17
Q

How Much fuel in the collectors tanks

A

660lbs

18
Q

In the Auto Position, when does AC Fuel Pump 2 start up?

A
  1. Engine Starting
  2. Primary Ejector 2 Fails
  3. Starting the APU with no engine 2 started
  4. XFEED Selected to LOW 1
19
Q

What AC FUEL PUMP does the RAT Power?

A

AC Fuel pump 2

24
Q

What position do the AC Fuel pumps need to be in, in order for the crossed system to work?

A

Auto position

25
Q

If to much fuel is being sent to an engine what pump sends it back into the fuel tank?

A

the EDP

26
Q

What can cause a FUEL IMBALANCE message?

A
  1. Excessive fuel flow in one of the engines.
  2. Fuel quantity from one tank decreases rapidly
  3. Big difference between EICAS Fuel and FM fuel.
27
Q

What provides motive flow for the main ejectors?

A

The Engine Driven Pumps
