Q

Explain the difference between a Reserve, LBV and Crusted port

A

Reserve: Ages for min 7 years prior to bottling. Blended from several vintages, retain youthful freshness while gaining a hint of creamy, delicate nature of a true old Tawny. Will not improve with additional bottling.

LBV: 4-6 years in cask prior to bottling; obtain some of mellowed tones of Tawny Port, while retaining the youthful fruit and directness of Ruby Port

Crusted: Blends of quality wines from a number of vintages, bottled unfiltered, 3 years min in bottle.
