MANUAL: Manual Release Pull Box (T528) or Local Lever/Pin, cannot be aborted
State the pre checks to be made before FM200 Activation Procedure (4 in total).
Pre Checks Before Activation:
1. Seek permission from CO, XO, OOD
2. Evacuate all personnel (General Pipe for intention)
3. Close all ventilation systems & openings
4. Ensure all doors, hatches, vents are closed
State 2 reasons why FM200 is safe, and 2 reasons why FM200 gas can be hazardous.
Safe:
Does not conduct electricity
Is non-corrosive & non-toxic
Hazardous:
In extreme heat like in a fire, FM200 can decompose to Hydrogen Fluoride, which is toxic
FM200 removes oxygen from the air to put out fires
How to use the Mimic Panel/LOP to extinguish fire? (3 + 1 steps)
- Go find the affected zone on Mimic Panel/Find LOP of affected zone
- Lift cover and press “FAN STOP”
- Lift cover and press “EXT GAS RELEASED”
- Press “ABORT” within 30s to abort
