Describe Primary STAB TRIM SYS?
- Dual Electric Signals
- Controlled via both switches on yoke
- Full Rate/Wide Range
- Will disconnect single autopilot
Are both NORM ELEC STAB TRIM switches (on yoke) required to move the stabilizer?
YES
<em>*moving only one applies HYD PWR but does not release brakes. Both must be used and used in the same direction.</em>
NORM STAB TRIM use w/AUTOPILOTS engaged?
Use during single AP operation will cause AP to disconnect.
Use during multiple AP operation (during approach) is inhibited.
What happens if control column is moved in opposite direction of activated STAB TRIM switches?
STAB TRIM will be interrupted.
<em>*feature can be used to quickly arrest STAB TRIM RUNAWAY</em>
Describe the ALTN STAB TRIM system
- Serves as backup to STAB TRIM
- Also uses ELEC PWR at full rate
- Provides increased range of input
- Overrides ALL OTHER STAB TRIM inputs!
- Moving both switches control both trim modules
- Will NOT disconnect any AutoPilot
- UNSCHED STAB TRIM ANNUNC
Describe AUTOPILOT STAB TRIM mode?
AP provides automatic STAB TRIM
Uses only one trim control at half electric trim rate
Describe PES mode?
Provides limited STAB TRIM with failure of L + C HYD SYS in flight by using R HYD SYS to drive STAB using trapped L trim system fluid.
- Activates automatically using R HYD SYS
- STAB TRIM avail at 1/4 rate
- Operated by normal column switches
- ALTN + AP TRIM INOP
UNSCHED STAB TRIM panel light indicates?
- Uncommanded STAB TRIM operation
- ALTN STAB engaged while A/P engaged
- STAB moving in direction opposite of elevator
<em>*only ANNUNC on </em><em>panel</em><em> that generates MASTER CAUTION. All others are ADVISORY</em>

STAB TRIM overhead panel light?
STAB TRIM is operating at half rate in NORM MODE. Brake failed to release.

- SYS FAIL
The L HYD SYS rudder actuator depressurized
- Rudder displacement limited at high airspeeds
- Abrupt rudder inputs should be avoided
- Full rudder displacement available at low airspeeds
