SPD MACH button - Pushed
Alternates between Speed & Mach
SPD MACH Selector - Pushed
Dashes appear in window
SPD light illuminates (White dot)
Speed is managed by FMGS
SPD MACH Selector - Turned
If Managed, first click will display current speed
10 Seconds hold after which dashes will appear is not pulled
SPD MACH Selector - Pulled
Speed is displayed in window
Speed is selected
HDG/TRK Selector - Pushed
Dashed appear in Windows
LAT light illuminates (White dot)
Lateral navigation is managed by FMGS
HDG/TRK Selector - Turned
If managed, first click will display current heading (track)
45 second hold
HDG/TRK Selector - Pulled
Heading is displayed in window
Lateral navigation is selected
LOC pb - Pushed
Arms or engages LOC mode, disengaged if pushed again
HDG/TRK/ V/S FPA button - Pushed
Displays Flight Path Vector or deletes it
Changes FD crossbars to Flight path Director, vise versa
Changes heading reference to track in HDG/TRK window, vise versa
Changes V/S reference to flight path angle, vise versa
AP 1 2 pb - Pushed
Arms autopilot
Disengages autopilot. not recommended technique
A/THR pb - Pushed
Arms or engages autothrust
Disengages autopilot. not recommended technique
ALT Selector - Pushed
LVL/CH light illuminates (White dot)
Vertical naviagtion is managed if LNAV is engaged first
ALT Selector - Pulled
If displayed altitude id different than current altitude:
-OP CLB or OP DES is selected
ALT Selector - Inner Knob
Selects function of the outer knob to 100 or 1000 feet
ALT Selector - Outer Knob
Selects altitude in window in increments selected iwth inner knob
