A

Protects the a/c throughout the flight envelops, as follows:

  • Load factor limitation
  • Pitch attitude limitation
  • High AOA protection
  • High speed protection

What Protections are available in Normal Law?

A

-Bank : 67 degrees max, > 33 lose auto trim and if released returns to 33, > 45 AP/FD turn off, < 40 FD returns.
-Yaw : dampening and trun coordination
-Pitch : 25-30 nose up, flaps 0-3, FD off/on 25/22
: 20-25 nose up, flaps full, FD off/on 25/22
: 15 nose down, all config, FD off/on 13/10
-AOA : Vmax, VLS, Alpha PROT, ALPHA MAX
-Load : Clean -1.0 to +2.5
: Slats/flaps 0 to +2.5
-Speed : VMO+6, A FLOOR on FMA and EWD

Explain Alternate Law

A
  • The a/c goes into alternate law when there are multiple failures of redundant systems.
  • Some protections are lost.
