Q

For Abnormal procedure during takeoff, what is the order of checklists/procedures?

Which five failures are exceptions to this rule?

A
  1. After Takeoff checklist
  2. ECAM/Abnormal procedure or checklist
    ——————————-
Perform ECAM until reaching status, then After Takeoff Checklist
    -Oil LO Press
    -Engine failure
    -Engine fire
    -Engine over limit
    -Engine Stall
Perform Eng Stall checklist, then Perform ECAM until reaching status, then After Takeoff Checklist

Q

For abnormal procedures during approach, what is the order of checklists/procedures?

A
  1. ECAM/Abnormal procedure or checklist
  2. Normal checklist
Note: When on short final it may be better to continue the landing before dealing with the failure. Below 400 feet AGL, the pilot should take no action (except cancel audio warnings).

16
Q

To perform any action requested by a procedure, the PM should indicate the related panel and control and
announce in sequence.

A

Example

“AIR, CROSSBLEED, SHUT”

17
Q

After the selection of a control, the PM should check the SD page, in order to verify that the selected action was
performed (e.g., the closure of the crossbleed valve should change the indications that appear on the SD page).

A

N/a

18
Q

If an ADVISORY is triggered due to a failure (e.g., ENG 1(2) FIRE may cause an IDG temperature advisory), the
ADVISORY should be reviewed after the ECAM actions have been completed.

A

N/a

19
Q

Where in the QRH do we reference an Advisory condition?

A
  • Under QRH Procedures, [ADV] ECAM Advisory
  • It is the first QRH Procudure
20
Q

What are QRH Summaries used for?

What are the four sections?

What procedure will always be applied before the summary?

A

-The QRH Summaries are QRH procedures created to help the flight crew to perform actions in the case of an ELEC EMER CONFIG or a dual hydraulic failure.
-The QRH Summaries are divided into four sections: CRUISE, APPROACH, LANDING, and GO-AROUND.
-In any case, the ECAM will be applied first. This includes both the procedure and the STATUS page review; then do the summary.

21
Q

What are the three types of failures?

A
  • Independent - Not boxed, does not affect other systems.
  • Primary - Boxed, has secondary failures associated.
-Secondary - caused by a primary failure and listed on the right side of the ECAM. Reviewed after primary ECAM portion completed and after reading “Land ASAP” amber or red and before the status page.
22
Q

What are the three levels of ECAM?

A
  • Level 1 - ECAM, no chime or master caution
  • Level 2 - ECAM, single chime and master caution
Level 3 - ECAM, CRC and master warning
