What is the Osteichthyes class?

A

Their skeleton is comprised of primarily bone tissue. Includes most fish species.

What is the chondrichthyes class?

A

Their skeleton is made of mainly cartilage. Sometimes their teeth and vertebrae are calcified but still not true bone.
Class includes sharks, rays and Chimaera

A

Primitive jawless fish (probably the earliest invertebrate species) ​
Includes Lampreys​, Hagfish and several extinct groups.​
