What does carnivorous mean ?
This is when an animal feeds on another animal
What does herbivores mean ?
Is an animal that feeds on plants
What does omnivores eat?
An animal that eats a variety of both plants and animal
What does insectivore mean ?
An animal that feeds on insects, worms and other invertebrates
What are browsers feeders?
They are a type of herbivores. Some examples are marine parrotfish
What are surface feeders?
These are animals that feeds from the surface of tree water or just beneath the water. The food is stuff that floats and thing just begins to sink. Example is hatchet fish and betas.
What are Mid water/ column feeders?
These are fish found in the middle of the water and feed their. Fish that live here are often referred to as mid-swimmers, but not all of these are column feeders. Examples are angel fish and tetras
What are bottom feeders?
These are species that feed of the beds at the bottom. Theses are often scavengers and are ten clean up crew. Some examples are, catfish and plecos
What is filter feeders?
They are aquatic animal with adaptations to filter through the water and feed off plankton and food debris. Some examples are whale shark, blue whale and shrimp.
