A

moved stiffly to capture Scotland ports (Edinburgh arsenal and crown jewels from Dalkeith). it was hard for c.1 to fund as had less ship money(since ehampden case) c.1 signed treaty of Ripon gave land to scot(Durham and northumberland)

A

the defeated Scottish royalist in order to control abadeenshire, so king marched from north of York to Berwick attempt to invade Scotland, royalist Hamilton led naval assault sailing from east Angola to eastern Scotland (failed as struggled to land ad when did land defeated immideialty by monstrse covenanters )

A

royalist troops sent to duns to issue proclamation to Scots they would pardon all rebels if submitted in 8 days - the Scots unnerved advanced to Kelso and Scottish forces overwhelmed holland so retreated back to berwick and English soldiers deserted

reactions to c.1 and Scots worsens after treaty fo Berwick as both sides failed to fully disband their armies and general assembly comfinimed its decision to abolish bishop/prayer book, Scottish aplriemnt declared it would dismantle royal power in Scotland
