How did Viking spiritual beliefs influence their society?
It made them not afraid of death, made them think they had one opportunity to live, and made them not afraid to die in battle. All parts of it influenced all aspects of life. It in general made them a warrior based society.
Explain how the design of the longship made the Vikings such effective traders.
It allowed them to navigate short waters, allowed them to navigate waters quickly, and allowed them to reverse quickly meaning they can effectively trade over the oceans. It also dispersed less water and allowed more weight in the ship meaning they could trade more items everytime they make a trip.
Describe the impact the Viking Age had on Europe.
It caused the rise of multiple kingdoms like the Normans who would go on to invade and conquer England and the Kievan Rus who would go on to unite the Russian region and turn it to Christianity. It also devastated lots of lands throughout Europe as the Vikings raided them.
What role did Vikings play in the formation of the Kievan-Rus?
In the 800s, a group of Vikings known as Varangains settled among Eastern Slavic tribes where they founded Novgorod in 862 under the leadership of Rurik

He was the supreme leader of the Mongols and was one of the greatest conquerors in human history.
What advantages did the Mongols have in battle?
They used superior bows, they had a reputation of being undefeatable and destroying everything if you did not surrender, built impressive catapults, and were good riders.
What happened to the Mongol Empire after Ghengis Khan’s death?
His empire was partitioned and broken up after Ogedi’s death
What is today’s legacy of the Mongols?
It spread ideas and killed people which have long term ripple effects and lead to the emergence of new cultures throughout the land the Mongols conquered due to cultural diffusion.

He was the ruler of the Frankish Empire and besides conquering most of Germany and France he promoted education, art, literature, and culture leading to the Carolingian Renaissance. He also had lots of military gains and achievements.

It was chosen by Prince-Electos who were high-ranking secular and ecclesiastical leaders.

They are a very powerful political family which came to power due to political marriage.

He is a German priest who started the Protestant reformation which caused lots of conflict throughout europe.
