ROPA 1918 - Gave women over the age of 30 the right to vote, mainly enfranchised wealthy women
ROPA 1928 - Gave woman 21+ the same right to vote as men (These women made up 43% of the electorate)

Faced prejudice - never more than 5% of MPs
Faced petty restrictions (Not allowed to dine in the commons dining room)
Influential at a local level (Yet never more than 15% of councillors)

Women’s employment opportunities 1918-39

A
Many women returned to their roles pre-war
Large split between working class and middle class women
Working class women did "women's work" ( cooks, maids and cleaners) while working class women did clerical roles (1 mil employed up to 1.3mil 1921-1931)
Disqualification Act 1919 - Universities accepting more women and lifted civil services and law bans
