What is the definition of fetal growth restriction?
Fetus with EFW < 10%
What is the definition of small for gestational age
Infant with birthweight < 10%
What is the definition of low birth weight?
Infant with birth weight < 2500g
What are the short term risks with FGR?
Mec aspiration, hypoglycemia, hypothermia, polycythemia, hyponatremia, hypocalcemia
What are the long term risks with FGR?
slightly smaller adults, 2 x increase in major neurologic problems, increased risk of CV disease, increased risk of diabetes
What specific type of placental disorder can cause FGR?
Circumvallate placenta
What two types of placental disorders DO NOT cause FGR?
Placenta accreta, placenta previa
