Follicle
Chamber where egg matures : matures and releases every 28 days =ovulation, matures in follicle for two weeks before released
Corpus luteum
Solid mass formed from follicle after egg is released; emits important hormones during reproductive cycle
Fallooian tube
Tube egg travels down and where fertilization occurs
Uterus
Triangular organ with muscular wall ; houses developing offspring in pregnant females
Endometrium
Blood rich layer of tissue lining uterus; thickens in response to hormones released during ovulation and is where embryo implants and develops
Cervix
Thick ring of muscle that separates uterus and vagina and holds baby in uterus
Vagina
Muscular tube that allows insertion of penis for internal fertilization
Clitoris
Consists of shaft and highly sensitive gland: erectile tissue fills with blood during arousal
