Amenorrhea
Absent menses.
Menarche
First menses, mean age at onset is 12-13 yo, delayed onset indicates endocrine or underweight problem.
Syphilitic Chancre
Begins as a small, solitary silvery papule that erodes to a red, round, or oval, superficial ulcer w/ yellowish serous discharge. Non-tender, can be lifted like a button b/t thumb & finger.
Multipara
More than one pregnancy resulting in multiple offspring.
Menopause
Cessation of menstruation
Dysuria
Painful urination
Hematuria
Blood in urine
Menorrhagia
Heavy period
Leukorrhea
Thick, whitish or yellowish vaginal discharge.
Dysmenorrhea
Painful period.
Rectocele
Part of the rectum, covered by vaginal mucosa, prolapses into vagina. Feeling of pressure in vagina, & stress incontinence.
Vaginitis
Inflammation of the vagina. Can result in discharge, itching, and pain.
Vestibular (Bartholin’s) Glands
Located on either side and posterior to the vaginal orifice. Secrete a clear lubritating mucus during intercourse. Ducts aren’t visible but they open into the groove b/t the labia minor and hymen.
