Source - who provides info Volume - how much info Timing - When info is given Information - what info is given Order - are both positives and negatives provided
Source positive
Trust information and implement feedback in next training session with confidence to help you further improve
Timing positive
If Immediately after training I can make changes before my next training session - and therefore see improvements then.
Model answer for physical - how to improve
Feedback on performance on the physical factor can be considered useful when information is provided on how to improve. This means that a performer will learn some strategies that they can use in their next training session to help turn their weakness into a strength.
Volume positive
If 2 positives and 1 negative is given it is short and concise so they are easy to understand and I know clearly what I need to do to improve and can do this easily without confusion.
Information positive
Provided with good information with the knowledge of how to improve my performance
Order positive
If I hear the positives first I will be get a confidence boost and I am more open to listening the making changes to my training based on areas of improvement
Problem with extrinsic verbal feedback
May be too much or too little information
Two types of feedback
Extrinsic and intrinsic
Intrinsic feedback
Feedback that comes from yourself
