Data collection - qualitative/quantitative Flashcards
Why should a performer collect qualativive data - reliable
It’s reliable as only the performer knows how they’re feeling about how well they did while performing an activity. They can use this reliable information to then construct a PDP based on there developmental needs
Why should a performer collect qualatitive data - permanent record
qualitative information such as recorded coach feedback allows me to gather permanent data. This provides me with a starting point so I can then repeat this method during my PDP to compare results and see if improvements have been made
Why should a performer collect quantative data - reliable
ollecting quantitative information supports qualitative information collected which means that data gathered is more reliable. This provides the performer the opportunity to accurately identify development needs to plan a programme
Why should a performer collect quantative data - goal setting
Collecting quantative data will give u a specific score, this score will then give a baseline measurement of your ability in that specific sub factor, this means that realistic goals can be set as a result of these, meaning they will be more reachable giving a motivation boost to the motivation of a performer meaning they will see greater improvements
