well, U know, I believe that a good writer can change the world with his works comments, words, creativity and even by his sense of humor. In other words, writers were the real emperors of new civilization and culture.
Alice Walker is not only an African- American novelist but also an activist. I read her novels during my graduation as part of my syllabus. Her works are fascinating. Especially ‘The Color Purple’ because of which she won numerous awards and gained worldwide recognition.
Though she was accidentally blind by one eye during her childhood, she didn’t give up writing as her passion. This fascinated me.
Walker’s novels and short stories mainly revolve around violence, racism and gender inequality.
this book impressed me a lot. I somehow affected my later life. I talk about that in different occasions and encourage people to read it. It’s worth reading more than once.
