How does your body use fats?

A

Protect our organs and cells from damage . Fats keep our body warm. Use fat reserves for energy if there is a shortage of carbs.

Which foods are sources of Fats?

A

Animal sources = butter,meat with fat on and oily fish such as sardines
Plant sources = cooking oils,peanut butter,olives and avocado pears.

How fats work in a balanced diet?

A

Fats we store in our bodies can come from our food, but most comes from carbohydrate metabolism.
So then we do not need to include a lot of fats in our diet. Lots of fatty foods causes us to be fat if we not active
eat healthy fatty foods like sardines and nuts but only a small amount.

What are fats?

A

Like carbs,fats are compounds of carbon,hydrogen and oxygen. But fats are richer in carbon and hydrogen and poorer in oxygen, but can provide body with more energy.
