How do our bodies use carbohydrates?
carbohydrates both for cellular functions and for cellular structures
Our body use it straight away or store it in our liver or muscles for when it is needed. Our bodies convert carbs to the fat stores in order to meet our energy needs.
Which movements do we do when we use our carbohydrates as energy?
Breathe,chew food,blink our eyes or move in any way.
Which foods are sources of carbohydrates? (10)
Breads,maize,cereals,rice,pasta,fruits,lentils,beans,milk and sweets.
How carbohydrates work in a balanced diet?
Not enough carbs means Eaten carbs which are stored in liver and muscles will be used for energy
Too much sugary and starchy foods will increase our fat store making us overweight
Rather eat high fibre cabs like fruits,legumes and veggies.
What are carbohydrates?
Carbohydrates are organic compounds made up of carbon,hydrogen and oxygen. The carbohydrates we eat are the sugar and starches provided by plant and animal foods.
