Hitler - early life
Born 20/4/1889 in Austria, moved to Munich 1914. Joined German army WW1
Hitler - Rise to power
Joined Nazis after WW2 + became leader 1921. Wrote Mein Kampf in prison. Very persuasive + used lots of propaganda. Fouded SS + Gestapo to remove threats to power. Opponents killed/sent to concentration camps.
Hitler - Beliefs + methods
Hitlers antisemitism =>Nuremberg laws+ Holocaust, he forced Jews into concentration camps, where 6 mill Jews killed. Wanted to take over more countries for German “living space”
Hitler - WW2
Directly defied treaty of Versailles by joining w/Austria + remilitarising Rhineland. 1939 invasion of Poland marked outbreak of WW2. After 5 years of war Hitler married Eva Braun + committed suicide
