Q

Comets

A

Made of frozen water and gas, as well as nonvolatile dust. Called “Dirty Snowballs”
Revolve around sun in highly elliptical orbits. As they get closer to sun, dust and stuff melts, forming tails.
TWO TAILS: gas ion, and dust. These are always directed away from sun. Ion tail goes straight away from sun. Dust goes close to orbital path.
