Q

describe co2 concentration

A

as an input of the ligth dependent stage, as it increases, rate of ps increases linearly.
However will stop increasing due to limiting factor - enzymes involved and coenzymes at maximum capacity

Q

describe light intensity.

A

As light intensity increaes, ROR will increase linearly (as in LD stage, light is needed to turn ADP + Pi and NADP+ into ATP and NADPH which are reactants for next stage). But will eventually stop increasing due to limiting factor - CO2 availability and/or temp

Q

describe light wavelength

A

for the visible light spectrum, all colours not being used are absorbed, and the ones being used are reflected.
So chlorophyll absorbs the purple-blue and red-orange regions of the visible light spectrum, and absorb green the worst

Q

what are the purpose of accessory pigments?

A

trap light of other wavelengths and transfer it to chlorophyll (eg. orange carotenoids)
