What is the Cache?
A
- Has faster read write speeds than RAM
- By storing frequently accessed data in cache memory you do not need to access the RAM.
- Low storage capacity
- Inside the CPU

What are cores?
A
- Each core of a CPU can carry out a FDE cycle by itself.
- Each core has its own CU and ALU but shares the cache and the main memory

What is the clock speed?
A
The clock sends a pulse at specific times to trigger the next stage of the FDE cycle. So the clock speed measures the number of cycles your CPU executes per second
